Aconitum carmichaelli ‘Royal Flush’

Aconitum 'Royal Flush' has spires of purple-blue monkshood flowers preceded by luscious chocolate-red new growth.

Aconitum ‘Royal Flush’ is unique within the monkshoods with new spring growth emerging with burgundy-red colouration flushed through the beautiful, dissected foliage. Slowly, and before summer, the red will be replaced with rich green. This impressive, sturdy cultivar blooms in mid to late summer with an abundance of huge, dark purple-blue hooded flowers on thick red stems. A great vertical accent for sun to part shade. All parts of the plant are poisonous so don’t use it in salads.
