Aconitum carmichaelii ‘Arendsii’

The tall stems and purple-blue flowers of the monkshood Aconitum 'Arendsii' offer a substitute for Delphinium for shadier conditions.

Aconitum ‘Arendsii’ is a very popular stocky monkshood with large purple-blue hooded flowers. The leaves are thick and leathery with a glossy surface and are broadly dissected into tri-lobed sections. Full sun to part shade. A great vertical accent for sun to part shade. All parts of the plant are poisonous so don’t use it in salads.
