Achimenes ‘Peach Blossom’ is a tender rhizomatous perennial related to African violets with delicate tubular blooms of light pink with magenta throats surrounded by fuzzy green foliage. Orchid pansies begin to bloom in June continuing through summer and are compact and floriferous. Best grown in pots in part sun to part shade or as a houseplant. For winter, treat like tuberous begonias – allow to dry out and go dormant. Place pots in a cool frost-free location. Begin watering again in spring when growth starts.
