Achillea filipendulina is one of the tallest species of yarrow blooming at 4-5 feet high. ‘Gold Plate’ is an award-winning cultivar producing masses of long-lasting, large, 6 inch wide, flat-topped, golden-yellow umbels with slightly convex corymbs that rise above fern-like semi-evergreen foliage exuding a spicy aroma when crushed.
