Acer pseudoplatanus ‘Esk Sunset’ is a very special form of the sycamore maple with magnificently and variably variegated leaves in shades of green, cream, white, pink, and tan. Every leaf is different. It will grow into a medium sized, broad-crowned tree reaching 10′ tall and 5′ wide in 10 years. The degree and colours of variegation vary depending on sun exposure. The fall colour is yellow and soft gold. The flowers produce copious amounts of pollen and nectar for pollinating insects. Tolerant of a wide range of soil types, pH, wind, and coastal conditions. For the 2025 Rare Flowering Tree Pre-Order plants will be in 1g pots and about a whip about 2-3 feet tall.
