Super Hardy Plants (Zones 1-4)

For our cold climate gardeners we present to you our selection of plants hardy in zones 1 through 4. Remember that if you mulch your plants with fallen leaves or straw, have good, reliable snow cover, plant in warmer microclimates in your garden, and cross your fingers, you might be able to grow plants rated as one zone warmer than your hardiness zone. Also, urban gardens are often one zone warmer than the official hardiness zone for that region. Zonal denial has its risks and its rewards. Have fun pushing the limits!
