Richmond
nursery gives charity a good start by Michelle
Hopkins
Gary Lewis at Richmond's Phoenix Perennials is at it
again!
He's hosting another one of his Charity Shopping Weekends.
When you go into one of the largest nurseries in the
Lower Mainland, with more than 2,500 perennials in stock,
and make a botanical purchase, the store will donate
25 per cent to benefit the HomeStart Foundation.
Here's how it works: Come shopping on Saturday, June
3 and Sunday, June 4 from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. When you
pay for your plants, tell them that you've come to support
the HomeStart Foundation and they'll donate 25 per cent
of the price of your plants (or gift certificates) to
the nonprofit foundation. But remember: You must tell
them why you have come to the nursery on that day or
they won't know to donate the proceeds from your sale.
Phoenix Perennials is located at 3380 No. 6 Rd. For
more information, phone 604-708-9556.
HomeStart Foundation is a nonprofit organization that
redistributes safe, clean, functional furniture in a
professional, dignified manner, from those who want
to share to those who are truly in need. To find out
